Tooth Coloured Fillings

When a tooth has a decay or is broken, you may experience discomfort, pain or temperature sensitivity. Your dentist will assess the extent of tooth damage and if the nerve remains healthy, a tooth-coloured filling can be placed to restore a tooth’s former strength, function and appearance.  We offer metal-free fillings which are tooth coloured. It includes composite fillings and Glass Ionomer Cement (GIC) fillings. However, it can stain overtime and need to be replaced due to wear or recurrent decay. GIC filling is mainly used for children’s filling and it’s generally weaker and may not be as close to match to your natural tooth colour compared to composite fillings.
